Camu Camu is the fruit of the Myrciaria dubia tree, found in the swamps/river banks of the Amazonian rainforest. Primarily found in Brazil and Peru, this bush is also grows in the lowlands of the Amazon in Bolivia, Colombia and Ecuador.
The fresh fruit is so so sour that it is practically inedible... as a result, we consume it in its powdered form in order to access its nutritious attributes.
Lemon/Camu Camu zest sponge cakes/muffin: take your favourite spongy goodness recipe and add a couple of teaspoons of Camu Camu powder to enhance the zestiness with a hit of a full spectrum vitamin C.
My persona favourite: I like to have my superfood powders with my breakfasts... and since we barely need a teaspoon per day, I would simply mix it in my morning yoghurt along with some brown sugar to give me a heck of a boost!
